Live Music with Cylindrian Rutabaga inspired by the MOON
In the digital world of Second Life™, the artists of Artopolis are once again blurring the line between reality and virtuality in a mutimedia show and contest. In conjunction with the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), artists Nora Ligorano, Marshall Reese (Ligorano/Reese), and Jeffrey Lipsky aka Filthy Fluno, have worked together to create an innovating and intriguing event that can be viewed worldwide, or live at the ICA.

Similarly the participants in Second Life™ were asked to submit something to be digitally displayed along side digitalized copies of the real world submissions. The media present varies from photography, to traditional media, to digital works and three dimensional digital sculptures. As well as a variety of works, visitors will be asked to turn on their video players to watch Quicktime™ presentations of the live event.

06/10/08 - THE SL ART SCENE IS A BIT SADDER NOW
by Esch Snoats
It is with great sadness that we inform everyone that SL/RL artist, Artistic Fimicoloud, passed away sometime last week after battling breast cancer. I did not know her, but I know her work, and I know her story. Filthy and I had the opportunity to work with her for the in world portion of the SLCC last August, where she showed several of her pieces.
Please visit her gallery and and the memorial outside in the center area of the gallery. We hear her work will live on in SL, so please take a min to visit!
